Gear Acquisition Syndrome
Gear Acquisition Syndrome (GAS) is an urge for musicians or hobbyist to buy and obsess over new equipments under the false belief it will improve their skills or creativity.
Think about a beginner in coding buying $3000 macbook and think he’ll be good if they have high-end macbook. An artist with such expensive paintbrushes and paint, musicians with their most expensive guitars. Sometimes we are unreasonable and often compulsive in this context.
