How to Hone Photography Sense
- Experiences (jam terbang) matters.
- We develop our own styles as we develop this skill
- Try every kind of photography—street, wedding, portrait, event wibu, graduation, micro, etc. You will develop the sense on the way.
- Spend at least 5 minutes in the place before taking a shots. This will help you notice the small things that often undiscovered.
- Reduce hesitation
- Ask yourself, what makes the image powerful? Is it the emotion? is it the composition? or the use of light?

Often times, the most famous photograph is the one that is imperfect. Imperfection can make a photo powerful. Real life is messy. emotion is messy. Sometimes, photographers obsessed over sharpness, perfect lighting, and techincal precision. They don’t always make a photo powerful. They often make the image feel sterile and empty and boring.
Storytelling photography is an art of capturing image that convey emotion, context, or compelling story rather than just documenting a scene.
