How to Shoot at Night Better?

High ISO is the cause of image to become grainy. So, we need to keep the ISO low. Think of ISO as a “volume knob” which we can turn it up and down. It boosts electrical signal from the camera sensor.

  • Use wide aperture, a lens with low number of f like f/1.7 to f/2.5.
  • Keep the ISO low.
  • To maintain long exposure, we need to decrease the shutter speed (slow it down), but we need to maintain the camera stability. We can use tripod for that.
