- When a competition is standstill because neither side can make a move to win
- Dragged on
- Explains the process of lengthy processes (The meeting dragged on for two hours)
- Explains physical effort (I dragged on my suitcase)
- Jumpy
- Anxious/uneasy (The voice is a little bit jumpy)
- Inquisitive
- Inclined to ask questions; curious (The child is very inquisitive; in an inquisitive voice)
- Insinuation
- A subtle, indirect malicious hint or suggestion (I’ve done nothing to deserve your vicious insinuation)
- Rapport
- A close and harmonious connection or relationship with people with mutual understanding and trust. (The teacher developed a strong rapport with her students)
