Padel
Padel is a sport that is similar to tennis but with a bit different rules.
Many people consider padel is more enjoyable than tennis due to it being easier to pickup. We use less physical strength and technical capacities. We don’t have to move as necessarily and accurately as tennis.
Padel is double-only racket sport. There is a glass wall and metal mesh.
The game begins with a underarm serve, hitting the ball at waist level or lower after a bounce. It is mandatory that the ball should bounce to the ground first before the wall.
Player can ‘volley’ the ball, means hitting the ball before it bounces. A serve is fault when it hits the mesh after bouncing, but if it hits the glass after bouncing, the game continues.
Fault happens when:
- Ball bounces twice on the side
- Ball hits mesh/cage directly
- Hitting the ball directly onto the opponent’s wall
- Hitting the ball into net
The match is usually BO3, the scoring is identical to tennis (0, 15, 30, 40)
