Plato never met Alexander the Great but connected through mentorship chain. Socrates taught Plato in Athens, Plato taught Aristotle in Plato’s Academy for nearly 20 years, Aristotle taught Alexander starting 342 BCE. The king went on to conquer an empire rather than become a Philosopher.
