Time Dilation
Einstein’s theory of relativity explains that people’s perception of time may be different due to gravity and velocity.
An object moving at high speed or located in a stronger gravitational field experience slower time. That’s why astronauts age slightly less than people on earth due to the high orbital speed.
The theory is, the closer you are to stronger gravity, the more spacetime is stretched.
How?
Gravity isn’t just a force, it’s a curvature of 4D space and time caused by mass and enery.
The speed of light is constant. Time must slow down to compensate for the curved, “longer” path it travels near a massive object.
